EXPLOSIONS! and more - BYU Chemistry Show

We had a great time at the BYU Chemistry Show. We learned about how different chemicals can change things. Like freezing a balloon with liquid nitrogen or making money burn but not really burn. It was a lot of fun.

The room filled up fast. We were glad to get a seat!

The chemist turned a flask into a mirror with a chemical solutions. Very cool!

Here he froze a balloon with nitrogen causing the balloon to collapse. As it warmed the air expanded and swelled back to full size. 

And an exploding pumpkin, sort of.
